Light up a cigarette at 3 am on your back porch and listen to the wind and do not think of them. Do not think of them.

Smile at your mother when she looks at you. As if she is your best friend, maybe you should let her be this one time.

Going out isn’t so bad, as long as you have good music and your passions. Follow your intuition. You’ll make it somewhere.

Buy a pet. Fish or cat or lizard. Just find something to throw that giant heart into, and do not let go.

Don’t live to your fullest, lest you find that you can’t be filled ever again, and then you will walk with an empty pit in your heart searching for something that isn’t lost.

Cry at 8 am. It’s a good cleanse to start your day.

Give away the bad things. Set them free. Rip them from your heart and tell them they can no longer make residence inside of you, that you are reclaiming what was originally yours.
